Giving Back Takes Front & Center With Fontana Businesses This Holiday Season

On December 24th a young mother reached out on Craigslist looking for help with her families dire situation of being homeless and out of work this holiday season. She wasn’t asking for much just temporary help with Shelter, Food and Old Toys Wrapped in paper for her kids to open on Christmas morning. Here is the message that the Mother put out on Craigslist:

family-in-need

“me and my family just went homeless, it’s me my husband and my two kids we are trying to stay off of the streets and at least in a motel , wed also like to get christmas gifts for our kids to have a happy christmas any old toys wrapped would be great . we’ve tried going to the county and many different agencies to get help for housing assistance but haven’t found anything we feel embarrassed and hate to ask but we dont want our kids sleeping outside my husband lost his job due to not having a stable home for us to stay in while he is working any donations will help even pennies please and thank you and God bless”

Well Idilio Sanchez the Owner of ABS Collision Center in Fontana came to the families rescue by providing food and toys for the family this holiday season as well as Paying for their hotel room through the holidays so the family wouldn’t be out in the cold. Then our friends over at My NY Pizza gave the family dinner food vouchers so that the family could eat a nice dinner and spend some time outside of the hotel room. Then the Owner of Market Solution Services gave the family money to purchase bus fair so that they could get back and forth and the husband could look for work.

We were blown away by how the businesses were connected to gave back in big ways. Were also humbled by the efforts of every fire and police agency in the IE that helped to make the holidays bright in areas where it may have been very dark. If you missed it go to our Facebook Page and check out what Graziano’s Pizza did to help an organization fill a last minute pizza donation for children and a holiday party. Here is just a short list of what we have came across of people helping others this holiday season:
