Fruit Park

Montclair officials, in partnership with Incredible Edible Community Garden, will plant a community fruit park, on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The park planting and celebration will be held at Sunset Park, 4351 Orchard St. Held on Make a Difference Day, the official ceremony will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. and the planting of a variety of 30 fruit trees will be from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
For the past two months IECG has been working with members of the Montclair Por La Vida program, Montclair High School students and community volunteers to plan, design and create the fruit park. Once planted, the fruit park will be maintained by a team of volunteers and IECG. The fruit park will be open to the community to pick fruit for their own enjoyment.
Funding for the park is provided by IECG, California ReLeaf, Environmental Protection Agency, Ontario Foundation, 4th District Supervisor Gary Ovitt, Integrated Infrastructure, Planning and Architecture, First 5 San Bernardino and the city of Montclair. Other park support has been provided by Montclair Por La Vida, Bracero Landscaping and North Upland Home Depot.
