PERRIS, CA – March 28, 2016 – In a family celebration of Southern California’s railway heritage, the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris will offer a trolley parade, live entertainment, opportunity to operate a real locomotive, special displays, and plenty more to do and see for the entire family on April 9th and 10th.
Visitors can get behind the throttle of a railroad locomotive under an instructor’s supervision (there is an additional charge for this activity). The locomotive for this event will be the Union Pacific 942. Train and trolley rides start Saturdayand Sunday at 11 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m.
This gated event supports museum operations and the continued restoration of historic rail cars and rail line. Admission is $15 for ages 12 and up, $10 for ages 5 to 11, and free for ages 4 and under. Operating a real locomotive is $20 extra. Admission is free to Orange Empire Railaway Museum members.
