AMERICAN AIRLINES DONATES 30,000 FLIGHT MILES TO FEEDING AMERICA RIVERSIDE | SAN BERNARDINO IN HONOR OF HUNGER ACTION MONTH

(Riverside, CA- September 12, 2019)— Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) announced today a 30,000 travel mile gift from America Airlines in honor of Hunger Action Month.

This generous unrestricted grant will allow FARSB to use travel miles for business and/or fundraising to help fuel their mission of alleviating hunger in the Inland Empire.

“We are so thankful to have received such a generous gift during Hunger Action Month,” said Lori Butler, Philanthropy Director at FARSB. “Thank you, American Airlines, for continuing to support our hunger relief efforts!”

FARSB provides Riverside and San Bernardino Counties with food resources as a means to promoting sustainability and capacity building. With over 400,000 Inland Empire residents at risk of going hungry in the Inland Empire, FARSB works diligently to ensure that every dollar donated can provide up to 9 meals to community members in need.

As the world’s largest airline, American Airlines is committed to giving back to communities where their team members and customers work and live. Their focus efforts are in supporting U.S. military members, bringing hope and wellness to patients, and meeting the needs of global citizens by improving stability, health, and care.
