We are so blessed to have so many reasons to leave our homes and enjoy life with friends and family. Couple that with Spring, Spring Break, Saint Patrick’s Day and Easter and this whole issue could not have come at a worse time. In an effort to keep supporting our amazing restaurants so they and their employees can survive this turbulent time we decided to offer a list of places YOU told us were open and offering options for customers.
Keep two things in mind:
- Double check the resturant you choose before you head there to make sure nothing has changed.
- This is a living list and we will be making changes as we see them. Please let us know if you find any changes we missed.
Meal Delivery Apps
Probably the easiest way to patronize local restaurants is to use a meal delivery app service. Yes this does add another person handling your food but it does take away the mass congregation of people that the CDC and Governor seem to be leary of. Many of the most popular apps are offering Free Delivery so you don’t have to worry about added cost on that end.
Janelle Sallenave, the head of Uber Eats for the US and Canada, released a statement through the Uber newsroom. She wrote, “As more customers are choosing to stay indoors, we’ve waived the Delivery Fee for the more than 100,000 independent restaurants across US & Canada on UberEats. We will also launch daily dedicated, targeted marketing campaigns—both in-app and via email—to promote delivery from local restaurants, especially those that are new to the app.”
Check your favorite app and see if they have a no fee deal to address concerns.
Getting Food To Go
Most of our favorite restaurants are our favorites because we like to hang out in them and enjoy our meals. Well with recommendations coming down that we limit our gathering to less than 50 now that isn’t possible anymore. Some places have drive thru operations so they can easily adapt to a no dine in option, also a lot of corporate restaurants have apps or options where you can have curbside pick up. Here are a list of places you may already know about or may have forgotten about (we have a lot on our minds right now).
Remember this is a living list and we will change it once a day but you should double check each location to see if anything has changed before you head out.
