Best Donut Shop in the Inland Empire

Back in February we asked you what your favorite Donut shop was and you guys gave us almost 30 different places that you loved. One thing is clear that we have a wealth of sweet places to grab that favorite sweet treat. The top places are spread out across the Inland Empire and we want to know have you been to any of these spots?

Coming in at number 1 on the fan favorite poll was Painted Dough Donuts located in Chino. Painted Dough is known for their creative looking donuts and their amazing flavor combinations. They are also know for their Pop Tart donut that is a donut that has a pop tart inside it. One donut that got Joel excited was the Horchatta Donut when we dropped in for a surprise donut stop.
They also have some of the most amazing Cold Brew coffee we have tasted! They have a wide variety of other products from Acai Bowls to hot food.

Baker’s Dozen Donuts

Baker’s Dozen Donuts has long been a IE Explorer favorite and we have covered their growth through the years. The attention to detail and the crazy fun artistic donuts they create. People come for their creative artistic donuts as well as their giant birthday donuts.
  • They have been on two episodes of Inland Empire Explorer.
  • Won “Best Breakfast” category a few times in the Inland Empire Hot list contest.
  • Been recognized in a couple of publications such as Inland Empire Magazine and The Press-Enterprise.
  • In 2019, at the SoCal Donut and Coffee Festival, we were awarded the People’s Choice award.

3D Donuts

This is another donut shop we have not been to…yet, but we now plan on stopping by. From the outside it looks like your everyday normal donut shop but apparently something special is going on behind those walls. This location tied with the ever popular Baker’s Dozen Donuts in our poll so since we have never been before we went to the reviews:
  • “Oh my goodness! These donuts are amazing. We got 3 different types and they each tasted freshly baked with love sprinkled on top. I don’t know how much sugar is in these bad boys but they are phenomenal. Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme better watch out.”
  • “I have been going here for many years. She has the most amazing egg rolls I have ever had. I would recommend if you want excellent quality of donuts. A smile and real concern for her consumers good coffee try this place.”
  • “Best donuts in Highland area.”

Upland Donuts

This location is new to us here at Inland Empire Explorer, so we went around asking people about this location and this is what we found:
  • “These are the best donuts that I have ever had. There is always a line to purchase the donuts. They often sell out if you do not get there early enough.”
  • “Best donuts ever. Such high quality yumminess ? plus they have cruellers, which are eggy fluffy bites of donut goodness.”
  • “This is one of the absolute best donut spots I’ve ever been. I got 5 different donuts for my family to sample and none disappointed. You can taste the buttery goodness in every bite. And best of all they were fresh.”
