Halloween Ideas for 2020

Ok so this year was the year everyone was looking forward to when it come to Halloween. This year the party and candy holiday lands on a Saturday, under a full moon and it will be nice and cool. Enter Covid-19 with cases still effecting our abilities to go outside and everyone wants to go back to 2019. Well time travel is only on the movies so we must push on. So what can we do to not waste another holiday while still remaining safe? We asked our fans on our Facebook Page and they had some pretty cool ideas.

Doing a scavenger hunt at home:

When you have small kids they just want to have fun and what kid doesn’t like to look for hidden things? Hello Where’s Waldo?? Plus changing things up does not mean you have to go candyless!! Hide handfuls of candy, small toys and even inspirational notes to your kids cause we all could do with some positivity in our lives right now!

Sitting on patio with a cold brew and watch the spirits fly around the neighborhood:

Some people are going to go out and so will the spooky things that go bump in the night! If your life isn’t all about keeping kids happy in your life kick back and enjoy people and spirit watching!

Driving around as a family:

Spend time as a family jump in the car and look at the decorated houses. Then return home and make Carmel Apples and just spend time together. Maybe watch your favorite spooky movie!

Indoor Camping with the “Wicked Chicken”:

Put up a tent, put on some scary movies and have a deviled Egg Hunt! Take leftover plastic eggs from Easter make them look spooky and hide them in your party area!

One fan has a safer trick or treat idea:

I’m making little bags of candy and laying them out on a table so trick or treaters will only touch one. I made candy bags and food sensitivity bags with fun little toys and stickers. It’s up to the families to decide if they want to trick or treat and I will be ready to serve them safely on the driveway.

These are just a few of the many ideas that our fans posted. Whatever you do we want everyone to be safe and respect those who have different ideas on how to deal with our new normal.
