What Hot Dog Chain Reigns Supreme With IE Explorer Fans?

Back in March we asked you where your favorite Hot Dog Shop was and you guys gave us 18 different places that you loved. Now we are not sure if this has anything to do with the vote tally but 2 of the top 3 vote getters have been featured on the show.

One thing is clear that we have a wealth of places to grab that favorite savory treat. There are a few cities that seem to have a larger collection of your favorites, but overall there are locations all over the region!

Hot Dog Shoppe – Corona

Coming at #1 by just one vote is the Hot Dog Shoppe in Corona. Now this is not a big surprise to us as Joel has been there to film on of our keystone episodes for TV back in 2014. This video is so popular as of this article the video on YouTube has bee viewed 999,736 times!! Amber voted for the Hot Dog Shoppe and had this to say about her vote. “The first time I went in there, the menu was very overwhelming so the owner was amazingly nice and asked me what I like/what I don’t like on a hot dog. He chose the Corporal hot dog for me and I order it every time. It’s a bacon wrapped hot dog with chopped onion rings, pastrami, 1000 island and Swiss cheese and I also like a side of Texas mac and cheese. Food coma!”

Portillo’s Hot Dogs – Moreno Valley

Coming in one vote shy of the Hot Dog Shoppe is Portillo’s in Moreno Valley. If you follow closely that there seems to be a trend forming in the fans favorites. They seem to love Chicago Style Dog, and our fans that voted on this poll are not the only ones that are pulled to the Chicago Style. Alicia voted for Portillo’s and this is why she said she voted for them. “I keep wishing they’d build more so I don’t have to drive to Moreno Valley or Buena Park to get a Chicago dog. Definitely worth the drive, though. Nothing beats a Chicago dog, onion rings, and a cold scooter of beer!”

Sonora Grill – Moreno Valley

Rounding out the top three is Rudy, his wife and amazing crew over at Sonora Grill. Now Rudy knows how to make anything more amazing, use quality ingredients and wrap everything in bacon! They have a lot of other amazing items there to! We have watched them make as much as they can from scratch there on site. They even make their own bread and it is amazing.
