Dog Haus Biergarten is open in Eastvale

The Pasadena-based chain Dog Haus has returned to Riverside County.

The new Dog Haus Biergarten is in The Merge Eastvale, a new development on the western side of Eastvale that combines retail and light industry.

Dog Haus previously had a restaurant in Menifee, but it closed in 2019 and was replaced by Bushfire Grill.

Dog Haus specializes in gourmet beef hot dogs and sausages served on King’s Hawaiian rolls. Other menu items include burgers, chicken sandwiches and wings. Sides include fries and tots. The Eastvale location also serves breakfast burritos.

Dog Haus restaurants that serve cocktails as well as wine and beer are called Biergartens. San Bernardino County has a Dog Haus in Chino Hills and a Biergarten in Rancho Cucamonga. In addition, there’s a Dog Haus in Claremont.

The Eastvale location has about two dozen craft brews on tap, including such brands as Belching Beaver and Hamilton Family Brewery from Rancho Cucamonga. Its cocktail menu board has about 12 items.

The restaurant has a small dining room with a bar and a west-facing patio that’s linked to the interior by a roll-up window.

In 2020, founders of Dog Haus created several virtual concepts called The Absolute Brands. The concepts have names such as Plant B, Jailbird and Big Belly Burgers and serve items that are similar to the Dog Haus menu. According to a news release, customers within driving distance from Eastvale will be able to order delivery from those concepts, although Eastvale is not currently listed on their websites.

Other new restaurants at The Merge include Bushfire Kitchen, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and Noodle St.
