We all know that Valentine’s Day is sold as the holiday for lovers but is tends to lean heavy towards those of the more female persuasion. That’s not to say that guys can’t enjoy the Holiday of Love but it tends to be a more for those who are more feminine in nature. According to Forbes “Valentine’s Day Spending Is Expected To Hit $26 Billion, One Of The Highest On Record”. A Survey put together by Sezzle states that 63% of Americans plan to buy a gift for Valentine’s Day this year!
So those guys with lovers that want to make sure they are sharing in the love when it comes to gifts what do they want?

Before we get to the top Four things guys said that they wanted for Valentine’s Day here are some that almost made the cut.
- Candy – Not Chocolates but stuff like Peanut Brittle
- Tickets – To concerts and sporting events
- Things to wear – Like Dixon Flannels and Cologne.
Tied for #4
These three items tied for fourth place.
- Steak Dinner – Its no secret that many couples struggle to find a place that they both like to eat. Ladies if your looking to make him happy the guys said its all about the Steak!
- Fishing Gear – One of those hobbies that can get expensive if your looking for the latest and greatest new fishing systems, ladies the guys agreed that fishing gear would be nice.
- Shoes – Even I would have to agree I (Joel) would not be upset to open a new pair of Sketchers shoes on the Love Holiday.
Coming in at #3
Coming in at number three is something that the ladies might not think that their man would want but many of the guys asked for it.
- Massage – More specifically a foot massage. If you think about it most guys work very hard for their families so maybe a nice foot rub not only feels nice but helps make going back to work easier.

Beer – Yes this adult beverage comes in a two way tie. Not sure what kind of beer your man truly likes? Ask his friends, see if he follows and brands online or buy him a sampler pack from Costco or Bevmo.
Tools – Ask our good friend Taylor Calmus from Dude Dad no trip to the hardware store is complete without buying some new tools! A tip look and see if your man has any corded tools that could be replaced with a cordless version. Also accessories for the wireless tools he already has is a great choice. Batteries wear out and chargers start to not work well after a while.
