CORONA, CA– Another new playground is coming to town, and everyone gets to join in the treasure hunt—regardless of age or ability. The pirate’s treasure themed playground, coming to Santana Park later this year, is based on community input about inclusive playgrounds. Residents provided so much information during last year’s meetings that we just had to build another great playground.
You spoke, we listened, and the Santana Park playground will be spectacular. It will feature a massive pirate ship, boulders to climb, swings, imaginative play elements, ground-level activities, and the rubberized surfacing underneath will serve as a treasure map.
Inclusive playgrounds remove barriers to play and provide a “sensory-rich” experience for everyone—children of all abilities play together. Santana Park Playground will be Corona’s second such playground. Lincoln Park’s inclusive playground is expected to open in early spring.
