Best Inland Empire Supermarket According to IE Explorer Fans

So everyone has that favorite thing in their life right! Our favorite things are normally something that takes us back to when we were younger or reminds us of a favorite relative. Well one of the constant comments on the Facebook Post that we did for our fans favorite store in the Inland Empire was what this store used to be to them.

Stater Bro’s has always been the best. After Alpha Beta went bye bye.

Stater Bros. Markets! 💯💯💯 They’ve been a staple in the Inland Empire since 1936.

Yes getting 3 times as many votes as anyone else Stater Bro’s was the most voted on store in our unofficial poll. Other top stand out were Trader Joes, Sprouts, Win Co and Costco. You know what only got one vote? The newest player to hit the Inland Empire grocery game Northgate Gonzales Market.

Northgate Gonzalez Market opened their 1st location in Riverside last year and now has plans for another location that will make the market more available to more people.

Northgate last month got the OK from Fontana leaders to construct a commercial shopping center at San Bernardino and Sierra avenues, less than 2 miles from downtown.

The site used to be the old Rock Honda dealership and has been vacant for some time. Fontana is no stranger to becoming the go to location for quality stores for the Inland Empire. They already have all but one of the stores on the top 5 of our poll. Most recently they added a Sprouts farmers market to the north end of Fontana near Costco.

In addition to the 43,000-square-foot grocery store, the developer will build a drive-thru restaurant and two pads for future retail or restaurant use.

A Northgate official told council members this week that Smoke and Fire, a trendy La Habra eatery that could be a “gamechanger for how we eat in the core of Fontana,” will be a future tenant. The supermarket chain with an emphasis on inventory imported from Mexico operates 40 Southern California locations.
